The Emerald Coast Science Center provides exceptional
interdisciplinary learning opportunities for students in pre-school through Grade 8 for schools all along the Emerald Coast. Our exhibits and science programs are directly linked to the Florida Sunshine State Standards (SSS) for Science. Be sure to book an educational program (link) during your field trip to the Emerald Coast.
Scheduling and Pricing
Don't get left out. Book your field trip early as the schedule books up quickly after the FCAT in March. To avoid the rush, come during September -February. Group bookings can be made, but only for 15 or more students. Your school may choose in house or outreach programs. To book a program, please call 850.664.1261, ext 204 or ext 203, between 8am and 4pm weekdays. Please have your preferred date, two alternate dates and the type of program you would like to book on hand. We will mail you a confirmation of your booking. We ask that you bring the confirmation sheet along with your payment the day or your visit. We can accept purchase orders if prior arrangements are made.

Chaperones
We require that one chaperone accompany every 5 students and the chaperone must stay with their student groups at all times during the visit. There is no charge for chaperones in groups of 30 students or larger or for chaperones who are members of the science center. Chaperones perform a vital function by reading the explanation that accompanies each exhibit on the self-guided tour and by controlling the hands-on experience of each student group.
