Field trip program fees are in addition to the admission fees. Be sure to book one of our science programs when your plan your field trip. The following programs can compliment your classroom instruction. At the conclusion of each program the instructor will conduct an assessment using digital interactive devices to determine retention and understanding. Teachers will be provided a full report on the student assessment before leaving the science center.

In addition to the programs listed above, we offer a larger menu of science programs that are more advanced and are specifically designed to cover key benchmarks and grade level expectations inside the Sunshine State Standards for Science. These programs do require additional preparation for our education staff, so we ask that you schedule them a minimum of two weeks priorto the date of your field trip.

LaserStar Portable Planetarium
The Earth and Space stand of the Sunshine State Standards is one of the most challenging to teach due to the abundance of abstract concepts students have difficulty understanding. To address this problem the Emerald Coast Science Center can provide your students a menu of Earth and Space Programs inside our unique new portable digital planetarium, the only one in the state of Florida. To book the LaserStar Lab, call 850.664.1261 ext 203 and have two alternate dates in addition to your preferred date. You may book the LaserStar Lab for your field trip with two weeks notice. The cost is $90 per session with a minimum booking of 2 sessions.
