Chemistry Corner: June 5 - August 7

Ever wondered how to make slime? Or wanted to watch a fire-breathing watermelon? We like to show off our mad scientist skills during Chem Demos every Friday at 11:00 a.m., so things might be set on fire, there could be small-scale explosions, but don't worry, you'll be watching it all happen from a safe distance...there will be time to both "ooh!" and "ahh!" as we explore many feats of science. It's fair to say these visual demonstrations are an absolute gas.

Immediately following the Chem Demo from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., your family can participate in various chemistry experiments that are based on the Chem Demo's theme! Enjoy hands-on activities safe for a wide variety of ages like making your own water color salt painting to explore the states of matter, using cool scientific tools, and discovering the chemistry behind some truly awesome science experiments. Materials are available on a first come, first served basis, but your RSVP's to the event help us prepare for the number of guests each Friday. Once the Chem Demo is finished, you can come and go as you please for the remainder of Chemistry Corner.
