 Lessons tailored to grades 1st-5th

We  invite all young explorers (ages 6-12) to take part in our Home School Science Academy.  Students will  participate in hands-on science lessons designed to foster a life-long love for science. 

Classes scheduled for the 3rd Monday & Tuesday of the month (through May)

9:00 am-1:00 pm

The same lesson is taught on both days

Cost per session

$30 members / $35 nonmembers 

15% off each additional sibling

Additional information

Students will need to bring their own lunch

Students must be at a first grade reading level

This is a drop-off program

Preregistration is required

Please ensure your registration forms have been submitted and tickets purchased. You can fill out our registration form here and either email it to website@ecscience.org or bring it with you to the workshop. If you wish to register for multiple classes at once, please email website@ecscience.org with your completed registration form and the dates you'd like to sign up for to be invoiced. Your child's spot in the workshop is not confirmed until payment is processed.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellations made 48 hours or more in advance of the event date will incur a 10% administrative fee. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event will incur a 30% administrative fee. There will be no refunds offered for missed classes without notice.

August 21 & 22: Wildlife Ecology

September 18 & 19: Chemistry

Ignite your child's curiosity and love for science at this month’s Home School Academy, where they will explore the exciting world of molecules, reactions, and colorful experiments that will leave them amazed and eager to discover more.

October 16 & 17: Robotic Engineering

Calling all aspiring young engineers! Join our exhilarating robotic engineering workshop, where kids will delve into the captivating realm of technology and unleash their creativity. This Home School Academy will have the students designing mechanical marvels, bringing their creations to life with code, and much more.

November 13 & 14: Astronomy*

Embark on an extraordinary journey through the cosmos in our awe-inspiring astronomy workshop, where young stargazers will uncover the mysteries of the universe, from dazzling galaxies to shimmering constellations. Students will engage in activities such as rocket building and virtual space explorations.

December 18 & 19: Human Anatomy

Step into the fascinating world of the human body with our captivating human anatomy workshop, where students will embark on an exciting adventure to uncover the secrets of bones, muscles, organs, and the intricate systems that make us who we are.

January 22 & 23: Archaeology*

Unearth the wonders of the past in our thrilling archaeology workshop, where young adventurers will become time detectives—excavating ancient artifacts, deciphering mysterious hieroglyphics, and piecing together the puzzle of lost civilizations.

February 26 & 27: Immunology*

Join us for a thrilling journey into the fascinating world of immunology, where young scientists will discover the hidden superheroes of our bodies – the immune system. Through interactive experiments, engaging games, and exploring the intricate defense mechanisms of our bodies, this immersive workshop will empower kids to understand how our immune system works, its role in keeping us healthy, and how to protect themselves and others from harmful invaders. Get ready to unlock the secrets of immunity and become a superhero for health!

March 25 & 26: Botany*

Enter the enchanting realm of plants in our captivating botany workshop, where budding botanists will embark on an exciting adventure to explore the wonders of the plant kingdom, from vibrant flowers to towering trees. Through hands-on activities like plant dissections, seed planting, and nature walks, this immersive workshop will ignite their curiosity, foster a deep appreciation for nature, and unveil the extraordinary role that plants play in sustaining life on our planet.

April 15 & 16: Entomology

Let’s bug out together into the mesmerizing world of insects in our enthralling entomology workshop, where young explorers will unravel the mysteries of buzzing bees, colorful butterflies through engaging activities like bug hunts, insect specimen observation, and interactive games. This workshop will aim to deepen their understanding of these tiny creatures and inspire a newfound appreciation for the vital role insects play in our ecosystem.

May 20 & 21: Mechanical Engineering

Gear up for an exhilarating mechanical engineering workshop, where aspiring young engineers will embark on a hands-on adventure to design, build, and test their very own incredible machines. Get ready to unleash your inner engineer and witness your wildest inventions come to life!
