We invite all young explorers (ages 6-12)* to take part in our Home School Science Academy. Students will participate in hands-on science lessons designed to foster a life-long love of science. *Lessons tailored to grades 1st-5th.

About The Event
Lessons tailored to grades 1st-5th
We invite all young explorers (ages 6-12) to take part in our Home School Science Academy. Students will participate in hands-on science lessons designed to foster a life-long love for science.
Classes scheduled for the 3rd Monday & Tuesday of the month (through May)
9:00 am-1:00 pm
The same lesson is taught on both days
Cost per session
$35 members / $40 nonmembers
15% off each additional sibling
Additional information
Students will need to bring their own lunch
Students must be at a first grade reading level
This is a drop-off program
Preregistration is required
Please ensure your registration forms have been submitted and tickets purchased. You can fill out our registration form here and either email it to website@ecscience.org or bring it with you to the workshop. If you wish to register for multiple classes at once, please email website@ecscience.org with your completed registration form and the dates you'd like to sign up for to be invoiced. Your child's spot in the workshop is not confirmed until payment is processed.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellations made 48 hours or more in advance of the event date will incur a 10% administrative fee. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event will incur a 30% administrative fee. There will be no refunds offered for missed classes without notice.

Embark on a critter quest where students will uncover the fascinating world of insects, crustaceans, and other creepy crawlers! Discover their diverse habitats, unique adaptations, and important roles in ecosystems. From hands-on exploration to learning about their incredible behaviors, join us for an interactive journey into the amazing realm of arthropods!
December 16, 17: Feathers & Fossils
From Dinosaurs to Fly-nosaurs! Discover the ancient stories preserved in fossils and unravel the mysteries of how dinosaurs evolved into modern birds. From hands-on fossil explorations to learning about feathered dinosaurs, join us for an interactive adventure into the fascinating world of paleontology and ornithology.
January 13, 14*: Cryptozoology
Chasing cryptids: Where truth and legend dance in the shadows. Delve into the mysteries of cryptozoology, where mythical creatures and elusive beasts come to life! Explore legends and sightings as you design your own cryptid creature, become a skilled cryptid catcher, and embark on thrilling cryptid hunts to uncover the truth behind these fascinating creatures.
February 10, 11*: Lunar Landings
