Planetarium Nights: 7 p.m. Show

Not that long ago, our solar system had nine planets. Pluto was always a little bit strange–it was the smallest planet, the furthest from the Sun, and the last planet to be discovered. But we were still shocked when it was downgraded from a planet to a dwarf planet. Why are we so upset? What is it about Pluto that makes us want to root for it? In this planetarium show, we’ll talk about all things Pluto–who discovered it, where the name comes from, how many moons it has, the mythology behind it, and what happened in 2006 that changed everything–and why people, especially Americans, have a hard time accepting it. Tonight, it’s all about the ultimate underdog, because you can’t help but cheer for Poor Pluto. Recommended for ages 5+.

Our Planetarium is an inflatable dome. Guests sit on cushions on the floor of the planetarium to view the show. Space is limited; purchasing tickets in advance is recommended for this reason. On Planetarium Night, please arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled showing. In case of no-shows/late shows: reserved spots will be released at show time to make space for the next party.

Shows begin at 6 and 7 pm and last approximately 45 minutes.
