Science To-Go: Owl Pellet Dissection
Time & Location
About The Event
Looking for a new way to mix up those at-home science lessons? We've got you covered!
Our Science To-Go kits offer new hands-on challenges every week for a variety of age ranges. Each kit comes with all the materials your scientists need to conduct experiments at home, a guided video for each lesson provided by Science Center educators, plus exclusive access to our weekly "Ask the Educator" live sessions every Sunday from 4-5 p.m. These sessions will give your children the opportunity to ask any questions they have about activities and lessons to our knowledgeable Science Center education team.
Science To-Go kit for the week of May 11: Owl Pellet Dissections
Through owl pellet dissection and investigation, you will discover firsthand an owl's eating habits, travel patterns, and digestive processes. All items needed to complete the dissection are included (don't worry, there are no sharp scalpels needed for this dissection). This lesson is great for all grade levels (K-12), but younger students might need some help from a lab assistant (a.k.a., an adult). Prepare any questions you have after completing the activities and join our Ask the Educator session Sunday, May 17, at 4 p.m. We'll send the link to the live session via email after you've registered for your kit.
