Science To-Go: Pool Noodle Engineering Circuit Challenge

Our Science To-Go kits offer new hands-on challenges every week for a variety of age ranges. Each kit comes with all the materials your scientists need to conduct experiments at home, a guided video for each lesson provided by Science Center educators, plus exclusive access to our weekly "Ask the Educator" live sessions every Sunday from 4-5 p.m. These sessions will give your children the opportunity to ask any questions they have about activities and lessons to our knowledgeable Science Center education team.

Science To-Go kit for the week of June 1: Pool Noodle Engineering Circuit Challenge

Test your circuitry skills AND your hand-eye coordination with our Pool Noodle Engineering Circuit Challenge! You'll engineer the noodle structure and then maneuver the noodles around circuits, trying not to let the noodles touch in order to win the challenge. Think of it like a giant game of Operation, but more challenging! If you let the noodle touch the circuit, it'll light up. You'll also get the chance to build your own tiny circuit scientist with this week's kit...it's a battery-powered whirligig that's highly entertaining. These activities are great for scientists in grades 4-12, and younger grades can definitely enjoy these challenges with some help from a lab assistant (a.k.a., an adult). Prepare any questions you have after completing the activities and join our Ask the Educator session Sunday, June 7, at 4 p.m. We'll send the link to the live session via email after you've registered for your kit.
