Spring Break Workshops

All activities listed are included with general admission pricing except for Animal Tales show tickets. Military discounts available. 

Please note we do have field trip visitors on March 18 and 19 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and March 28 and 29 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., so certain areas of the museum like the Reptile Room will only be accessible by field trip guests until noon, and then it will be open for all to enjoy! We appreciate your patience.

Schedule of Events for March 18 & 19: Creature Features & sciPad

• Join us for a Creature Feature from 12:30-1:00 p.m. and check out some of our awesome Animal Ambassadors! Seating for the Creature Feature is available on a first come, first served basis. No reservations accepted.
• Check out the sciPad and play interactive games on our room-sized iPad from 12-2 p.m. 

Schedule of Events for March 20: Flutter & Fly Workshop

• Float like a butterfly while you explore different species of butterflies and moths and their body parts using AR technology, make a static electricity butterfly to take home, and see if you can locate the camouflaged lepidopterans in this workshop from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Please note this is not a drop-off workshop.

Schedule of Events for March 21: Animal Adventure Day

• Make a snake paper chain to take home, match animal tracks to the correct species, and explore the life cycle of frogs with our frog stamps from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Then take a walk on the wild side and discover the many fun, fascinating, and fabulous critters that call the Science Center home. Our educators will be roaming around the museum with animals from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. for you to meet and learn about up close.  Please note this is not a drop-off workshop.
• Interactive Animal Tales shows will take place at 10:30 and 11:45 a.m. Learn more and register for 10:30 a.m. show or register for 11:45 a.m show. Registration is required and additional fees are included for this show.

Schedule of Events for March 22: Spring Skies Exploration Workshop

• Somewhere over the rainbow...join us from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and investigate with our Ozobot robot as it shows us just how the seasons work in relation to our sun, earth, and moon, explore cloud formations, and make a rainbow prism necklace to take home. Please note this is not a drop-off workshop.

• Away we grow! Make a 3D Seed Life cycle with our 3D pens , and plant your own seed to take home and watch it grow at today's workshop from 10:30 a.m to 12:30 p.m. Please note this is not a drop-off workshop.
