March 17th Schedule of Events:

Shamrock Shenanigans Workshop from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Get ready for some shamrock-ing fun this St. Patrick's Day! Bring the kids for a hands-on, green-themed adventure where they will create gooey, sparkly shamrock slime, build their own light-up shamrock circuit, and hunt for hidden gold on our special Green Scavenger Hunt. It’s a full day of science, engineering, and holiday magic. Please note, these are not drop off workshops, but activities for the whole family to enjoy together.

Planetarium Show: Planetarium Forward! To the Moon: 10:30 - 11:00 a.m.

Kari Byron from Crash Test World and MythBusters launches us on a journey beyond the Earth towards a sustainable future in space. NASA’s 21st century Artemis program, named after the Greek moon Goddess and twin of Apollo, is the next step in our mission to explore the universe. Tickets for the planetarium do include an additional fee.

Creature Feature: 1:00 - 1:30 p.m.

Check out some of our awesome Animal Ambassadors! Seating for the Creature Feature is available on a first come, first served basis. No reservations accepted.

Scipad: 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

Come one, come all! sciPad will be open for all to drop in an enjoy.

Planetarium Show: Audio Universe: Tour of the Solar System: 2:00 - 2:30 p.m.

Experience the Solar System like never before - by traveling on a spacecraft that can turn the objects in space into sound! You’ll be transported inside a special spacecraft that takes you to the European Southern Observatory’s Very Large Telescope (VLT) to view the stars in the night sky, before lifting off into space to visit the Earth, Moon, Sun and all the planets of the Solar System. Each of the objects in space are represented with sounds as well as being presented with the incredible 4K resolution visuals, so come listen to the stars appear and hear the planets orbit around your head! Tickets for the planetarium do include an additional fee.

Our planetarium is powered by FPL // These events sponsored in part by Cumulus Media.
