Workshop Lessons

We'll explore a wide variety of topics with hands-on, interactive lessons that give kids the opportunity to spend their vacation on a science adventure! From playing with robots, to experiencing the excitement of SMALLab learning, and journeying through space, we're having tons of fun this summer. Sign your kiddos up today! Camp time includes the lessons listed below, a half an hour of free play in the museum, and a 20-minute lunch break.

Calendar of Events

• June 2, 2020 Robotics & Coding: Get your wheels turning while you learn to program and play with our robots.
• June 9, 2020- Biology: Come alive while you learn about the science of life- from the smallest cells to the largest ecosystems.
• June 16, 2020- Space & Technology: Blast off from Earth to explore the stars and planets that make up the final frontier, and discover the technology that helped us get there. 
• June 23, 2020- CSI & Forensics: Test your detective skills by using the same crime-solving techniques that the professionals do.
• June 30, 2020- Electricity & Circuits: Electricity powers our modern day society, but how does it work? Learn about the different types of energy and how we can utilize them for some of our most essential technologies.
• July 7, 2020- Eco-Conservation: We only have one Earth, so let’s learn how to love and protect it through different types of sustainable efforts. 
• July 14, 2020- Chemistry: Let’s get chemical and learn about the different elements that make up our universe and experiment to see what they are really capable of.
• July 21, 2020- Human Body & Nutrition:  Do you know yourself as well as you think? Get a deeper understanding of what it means to be human as we learn about the body systems that are needed for life as we know it and how to take care of them. 
• July 28, 2020- Civil Engineering & Building: Build up your knowledge while we use our hands to create and explore the inner workings of inventions all around us. 

Drop off and Pick up:

No children are left unattended in the museum. Please be on time when dropping off and picking up students. There is a fee for late pick-ups: if you are more than 10 minutes late picking up your child(ren), a late fee of $15 will be applied per child.

Cancellations and Refunds:

The Emerald Coast Science Center reserves the right to reserve or cancel classes. Each class has a minimum and maximum enrollment number. In the event of a workshop cancellation, all fees will be returned in full and parents or guardians will be notified as soon as possible. Participant cancellations must be submitted 72 hours in advance of the workshop start date; there is a 25% cancellation fee. Cancellations will be accepted ONLY in writing.

Fill out our Registration Form online and then purchase tickets online, call, or stop by to complete your payment. Forms can be emailed to business-office@ecscience.org. Your spot in the workshop is not confirmed until payment is processed and your registration forms are received.
