Fall Into Science: Family Fun This Fall Break

Fall is in the air, and we’re falling for science! From leaf-themed crafts to veggie-powered experiments, we’ve got unbe-leaf-ably fun activities planned to keep the whole family engaged this break. So rake in the memories, branch out your creativity, and get ready for a week that’s anything but ordinary!
With new activities each day, we’ve got something fun for everyone. Access to workshops, sciPad, and Creature Features is included with general admission pricing (that means its free for current Science Center members to participate); planetarium shows include an additional fee ($5 nonmembers/$3 members per show ticket). Military & local discounts are available off your general admission tickets. Please note, these are not drop-off workshops, but activities for the whole family to enjoy together.
If you'd like to RSVP to help us determine the amount of materials needed for each workshop, we would apple-solutely appreciate it. Please note that RSVPs do not secure a space for the Fall for All workshops, sciPad, and Creature Features as space is on a first come, first served basis, so feel free to drop in as you please for the workshops. Veggie Power hands-on workshop | 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
We’re going to veg out while conducting some electrifying experiments on veggies! Plus, you’ll get to plant your own green bean to take home.

It wouldn’t be Fall Break without an appearance from our Animal Ambassadors. Stop by for some wild fun.

Spice up your life with invisible ink writing that has a fall-scented twist, then craft a Fall colors leaf viewer that’s unbe-leaf-ably cool.

Go wild with a nature-inspired adventure. Create your very own forest animal or woodland creature using natural materials, fall-colored felt, and googly eyes- it’s going to be un-fur-gettable.

Camping Science hands-on workshop | 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Experience the great outdoors from our museum classroom! Make bear-y fun noises, build a constellation with pipe cleaners and beads, take on our S’more’s Tower Challenge, and tell stories with shadow puppets.
