Summer Programs On the Way!

We are happy to inform you that as of 10 a.m., June 1, we will be open to the public once again. We have a ton of exciting activities planned for all ages to enjoy to kick off the summer. While programming will look a little different this summer to allow for proper social distancing guidelines to take place, that doesn't mean we won't be having a ton of fun! We thank you all for your support and understanding during this time as we adjust to our new schedule and policies.

Get Up Close with Our Animals

Beginning June 1, join our Creature Features every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 10:30 a.m. in our Outdoor Amphitheater. We are home to over 35 animals, so expect to see a vast array of scales, feathers, and fur. Our trained educators are a wealth of unique facts when it comes these animals, so you'll definitely leave each presentation with new knowledge! These presentations will only be visual in nature to allow for social distancing guidelines to be met. Access to Creatures Features is included with general admission.

Be Surprised by Science

We really like making a lasting impression on our guests, and we find lighting things on fire or small-scale explosions helps us accomplish this goal. Our Chem Demos give guests a safe viewing experience during our 'Mad Scientist' moments. Join our chemists at 10:30 a.m. every Tuesday and Thursday in our Outdoor Amphitheater to be wowed with awesome feats of science. Chem Demos begin June 2 and are also included with general admission. These presentations will only be visual in nature for guest safety.

Looking for Workshops?

Summer STEAM Workshops start June 2! These drop-off classes take place every Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for ages 5-12 until July 28. Workshops will be limited to 9 students and 1 educator per CDC guidelines; we will make additional classes available throughout the day and week on an as-needed basis based on registration demand.

During workshops, kids will get the chance to explore a wide variety of topics with hands-on, interactive lessons that give them the opportunity to spend their vacation on a science adventure! From engineering their own marvels, testing our their CSI sleuthing skills, and becoming robot gurus, tons of fun awaits at our Summer STEAM Workshops. Camp time includes the lessons listed on our camp webpage, a half an hour of free play in the museum, plus a 20-minute lunch break.

We offer member discounts, multiple sibling discounts, and 10% off workshops when you sign up for all 9 workshops at once. To sign up for workshops, visit our events calendar.

We look forward to seeing you and your family this summer!
